Awesome Book Reviews!!!!!

"The Sea of Monsters" is the sequl to "The Lightning Thief". In this book, Thalia's pine tree, which is the only thing that protecs demi-gods like Percy and others, has gotten poisened! Now the tree is losing it's power to protect them! The only way to heal the tree is to get the magic fleece, from the island on the sea of monsters! Now monsters are getting past the tree and everyone has to fight them. And, to add more stress to heir lives, Grover is stranded on the island in the sea of monsters! Percy, Annabeth and Percy's new friend, Tyson, must go rescue Grover and find the magic fleece before it's too late! The author is Rick Riordan and there are 279 pages in the book. I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars!

"The Lightning Thief" was AMAZING!!!!!! It was about a 12 year old boy named Percy who finds that he is a demi god. (Which means half-human half-god). It's not safe for a demi-god like him to be in the world where monster's can attack him, so he goes to a camp that is just for people like him. But Zeus's lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the suspect! Percy along with his friends Annabeth and Grover must go on a quest to find the lightning bolt and prove that Percy never took it. The author is Rick Riordan and there are 375 pages in the book. This book taught me lots about mythology. This is also a series of books, it's called the "Percy Jackson and the olympians" series. I would give this book a rating of 5 out of 5 stars.

"Island of the Blue Dolphins" was interesting. It was about a girl who spends 18 years of her life on an island by herself. She knows how to find food and how to live on her own, but there are also many challenges she must face. The book, in my opinion, was really exciting at some parts, and then boring the next. The book went like this the whole way through. The author is Scott O'Dell and there are 178 pages. My rating would be 3 out of 5 stars.

Answer to poll question

Well, my poll ended asking the question "What instrument do you think I'm playing in Band?" I'm going to tell you now. I'm playing the Clarinet! Good job to the people who guessed that and to the person that guessed Flute, that was a good guess! At first, I wanted to play the Flute, but then changed my mind to Clarinet. So thanks to everyone for voting on my poll! It really makes me happy that I get votes on my poll because my blog is still very young. Thanks to everyone who has ever commented or voted on my poll! Do you play any instruments? If so, I'd love to know which one or ones.

Awesome book reviews!!!!!!

This book is called "The Tail of Emily Windsnap" by Liz Kessler. This is the first book in the Emily Windsnap series. If you like fantasy books, then this one in for you. "The Tail of Emily Windsnap" is about a girl named Emily who has never been in water before. Her mom wouldn't ever let her. Until one day, in seventh grade, Emily figures out why her mom never let her get in the water. I think the Emily Windsnap book was very entertaining. It is 209 pages long, and I read it in about a week. I enjoyed it so much and now I'm on to reading the second book called "Emily Windsnap and the Monster From the Deep." I'd give this book 4.5 out of 5 stars.
This next book is called "The Tangled Web" by Kathryn Reiss. This is just one of the many books in the mysteries from American Girl. If you like mystery books, then this one is for you. "The Tangled Web" is about Julie Albright. She's in the 5th Grade and a new girl named Carla Warner joins her class. Julie really like her and envys her for having a dog, huge house and many, many brothers and sisters when Julie lives in a small apartment, no dogs and one crabby sister. But then Julie finds out the truth about Carla, can she ever trust her again? I think this book was very suspenseful; I couldn't put it down! It's 148 pages long and I read it in about a day. I'd rate this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This book is called "Midnight in Lonesome Hollow" by Kathleen Ernst. It is an American Girl mystery. Again, if you like mysteries, this is for you. "Midnight in Lonesome Hollow" is about Kit and she's visiting Kentucky. There is a lady in the book called Lucy Vanderpool and she takes pictures of the people's baskets in Kentucky. Kit feels that she is a "outsider" and is not very welcome in Lonesome Hollow. For me, this book was a very slow read. I didn't really enjoy it very much. The first half of the book was pretty boring, but once I got into the second half, I started liking it a little bit more. I'd give this book 2.5 out of 5 stars.

This last book is called "Mini Mysteries 3" by Rick Walton. Again, if you like mysteries this is for you. There are 20 mini mysteries in this book, but it doesn't make it any less suspenseful! There are 80 pages in the book withan answer key in the back. I love all the mini mysteries books and I really, REALLY want American Girl to make more!!!!!!!!! I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars!
I will now start doing "Awesome book reviews!" I'll try and update my "Awesome book reviews" as often as I can. Have you read any of these books? Have you read some books by the same author or the same series? Comment and let me know!

Hello!

Hi everyone! I'm sorry for not posting for about a month but there has really not been anything interesting going on. Well this doesn't really have anything to do with American Girl Dolls, but, next year, I'm heading off to middle school and I got to pick whether I want to do Choir, Orchestra, or Band. Well, I picked Band and I'm going to play the...................................................

you have to guess it! I'll put a poll up on the side bar and you have to pick which instrument I'm going to play. I will let the poll go on for as long as it needs to. Also, comment. Please! Please! Please! Comment! I have only received 4-5 comments ever from this blog. If you had to choose what elective you'd take, what would you pick and why?
