A closeup of Lanie's face.

I can't believe how fast 2010 went by! Many big things happened for me like the start of my blog in January and me starting Middle School just to name a few. I know that 2011 will bring many great things also like a new girl of the year! I have a couple pictures of Lanie that I 'd just like to put on here.

What I Think of KANANI!

I have seen the doll pictures and outfits from this blog: www.iheartamericangirl.blogspot.com

Also, I got the books from Barnes & Noble yesterday and I read both in about a span of about 3 hours. :) The first book is called "Aloha Kanani" and the second is called "Good Job Kanani" both by Lisa Yee who also wrote "Good Luck Ivy" for American Girl. I think that both Kanani Stories are wonderful but Kanani on the front of both of the books looks WAY different from the doll. I can't wait to see her whole collection on New Years, though!

I don't know if I will save up for the Kanani doll like I did with Lanie. So far since when Chrissa came out, I wanted the newest dolls. (Chrissa, Rebecca and Lanie) and they're great dolls, but I don't know if I'll get her. I do think she is REALLY pretty and I like her stories, but I think I'll wait until later on this year and f I still like her, then I will get her. But then again, I have been wanting a "Just Like Me" doll or "My American Girl Doll" for a while........... :)

Oh and I'm so sorry that I never did a "Happy Thanksgiving" post or a "Merry Christmas" post! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and a great Christmas. During both holidays, my family came over and on Thanksgiving we had a feast and just talked with each other. On Christmas we also had a large feast, opened presents and stayed up until midnight chatting and watching Christmas movies. I had a great time during both holidays and my dolls even got some new outfits! (which they love!) Did you have a Happy Thanksgiving and a Merry Christmas too?

Awesome Book Reviews!!!!!

Hey everyone! How was your Thanksgiving? Mine was great! I finished reading a lot of books lately, but I haven't had enough time to post. So.....here we go:

The first book is called "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott. I enjoyed this book very much and it's a classic novel too. It's about 4 sisters named Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy. It talks about their life growing up in the 1800's. Yes, it is a very long book, it has lots of information about them. I think it was a very fun book and the author did a very good job of describing and elaborating. I think I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars!

The next book is called "Boy of the Painted Cave" by Justine Denzel. It is about a boy named Tao who is a part of a Native American tribe. Tao really likes to draw and paint, but in his tribe, it is considered bad if you do that. Only the cave painter of the tribe may draw and paint. I really liked this book. I was very surprised at some parts of the book, and there is a sequel to it called "Return to the Painted Cave" I will be reading that one soon, also. I would probably give this book 4 out of 5 stars.

This book is called "The Golden Goblet" by Eloise Jarvice McGraw. The setting is in Ancient Egypt and the main character is a boy named Ranofer. He has to live with his mean half-brother, Gebu who screams at him and beats Ranofer. Ranofer has to work at a gold shop and loves it. He finds a disturbing thing in house---he thinks Gebu stole the gold! He needs to figure out how Gebu stole it. But nobody would believe Ranofer if he told them. How will he do it? In my opinion, it was ok. I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars.

This is called "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" by J.K Rowling. I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!! Everyone was telling me to read the Harry Potter series because they are so awesome. Some of my friends have read them more than one time so I said, "Okay, I'll try and read them" thinking that I wouldn't like them.......wow......I was wrong. They are amazing books....I defiantly recommend them to everybody! I can't really tell what it's about without wanting to give away the ending.......5 out of 5 stars!

Then I read "Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" by J.K Rowling. Again, I LOVED IT!!!!!!! It took me about 1 and a half days to read it because I loved it so much! With this book, I would want to see what happened next so I HAD to keep reading. This book was about the Chamber of Secrets at Hogwarts school, (maybe that's where she came up with the name for the book......heehee) it was opened by somebody! I can't say anymore. Actually, yes I can. But I would like to say that when I read it, I would HAVE to go onto the next part so that I could see what happens. (You probably will too.) The way that she writes it, it makes me feel like I am there with them at Hogwarts. I was scared at the parts that were scary-(there were a couple)......I even screamed at one part....at one time I had to stop reading and calm down. And then I felt kinda silly because it wasn't happening to me. But again, 5 out of 5 stars!

After that I read "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" by J.K Rowling. It was a great book. Just amazing. I really like the way she ended it, I wasn't expecting a couple of the endings and the way she chose to write it.......I LIKED IT! This book was a little bit bigger than the first two Harry Potter books. But I didn't care. It was amazing like the others. 5 out of 5 stars!

What books have you read lately? Please feel free to comment. Well, goodbye! I'm off to read the fourth Harry Potter book........ :)
